Dear Dr. Monchik -
Just read the extremely nice article about you, how you got to where you
are and what you are doing now. I have had the privilege of meeting you
and even watching you in action. What you do and what the Foundry is
doing should be commended. I know (unfortunately) first hand how you
helped my son during football season as well as Ken Furcolo has on numerous
occasions helped all my kids as well as myself at the Foundry. Good luck
with the seminar. Knowing you and your colleagues it will be a
tremendous success!
Best of luck,
BB

Dear Foundry Sports Medicine staff,

P1050132 resized 600Having injured 3 weeks before my bucket list of running this year's Tokyo Marathon cut my training short even though I was already into my tapering off period.  Since the race is a lottery system, I won't know the next chance.  Tension raised up to the maximum when I thought of postponing after all the training I went through in between my busy schedules.  That's when I came upon the Foundry Sports Medicine.  I called in to make an appointment and you took me in right away.  I was nervous upon my first visit thinking if I was going to get a very negative verdict.  To my surprise, my visit made me feel somewhat confident that I could still make it to the Finish line.  Dr. Keith Monchik made sure that I get the adequate amount of rest, and possible treatment before my departure for the race in Japan.  MRI was ordered just in case.  That was also done the day before I left for Japan and Dr. Monchik called me after his busy surgery schedule on that day to tell me the results.

describe the imageI knew I would run no matter what outcome it would have been, though I needed to have the reassurance that I had a good chance of achieving my goal.  I can not say thank you enough for the support I got before the event.  I had the most amazing experience running Tokyo Marathon!  Though I must say I actually needed the treatment AFTER running 26.2 miles! - you would not believe how many steps I needed to endure going up and down at the train stations in Tokyo, missing my connecting trains because I could not beat local 80 years old ladies.... Now I am trying to figure out where exactly my pain exists so that I can move onto making a decision on my further treatment.  Physical therapy also was ordered right away.  Appointment was so smoothly made.  I have a very good feeling about me running another marathon soon.

describe the imageI highly recommend the Foundry Sports Medicine!  Also, if anyone would love to try a marathon overseas, I recommend to try Tokyo!  Registration will open in August (sell out in the first hour or less - normally goes right into a lottery system).  37,000 runners occupied the city of Tokyo this year.  The race was one of the London Olympic Marathon selection, so the elite packs were amazing!

Some photos from the race.
Once again, thank you so very much for the support and care you provide, and I look forward to getting better!

I HAVE BEEN A PATIENT OF FOUNDRY SPORTS MEDICINE FOR A FEW YEARS NOW AND BELIEVE THEY ARE TOP NOTCH IN EVERYTHING THEY DO! MY MOST RECENT VISITS HAVE BEEN FOR "TENNIS ELBOW" AND BOTH DR. DELUISE, HIS MEDICAL STAFF, AND CERTIFIED HAND THERAPIST JODI BERGERON AND HER CO-WORKERS HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL IN BOTH TREATING AND EDUCATING ALONG THE WAY. THEY ARE TRULY TOPS IN THEIR FIELD!!

A letter to our hand therapist:

I just wanted to let you know that my wrist is doing really well.  I am still doing my exercises at home and I haven't had any problems.  I tell people that my wrist is doing so well because of the care that I received at Foundry.  I also tell them that you are the best and all the hard work that you put in really does pay off.

I recommend Foundry to everybody and tell them that I would not go anywhere else for any orthopedic issues that may arise.  Foundry is a great facility.

All Around Great Service

From the welcoming waiting area to the friendly and efficient reception staff, to the caring and professional meetings with the excellent medical team, Foundry Orthopedics is a five star practice.  I have been a patient at the “Foundry” from its beginning when I followed this dedicated and successful group of doctors from their
previous venue.

To say I’m pleased is an understatement.

Remembers Foundry Orthopedics from the Beginning

I have been a patient of Foundry Orthopedics even before it was Foundry Orthopedics!  I was a patient at the prior location and have been a patient for well over 10 years.

There are not to many medical offices that offer the familiarity of seeing many of the same faces on staff for all of those years!  From the front office to the examining rooms to physical therapy, this is a full-service environment that still maintains the "Cheers" mentality- where everyone knows your name!  If you are looking for a medical staff that will inform you of all of your options, try the least invasive measures first, and support you in your decisions regarding your healthcare, this is the place for you.  I can not recommend this facility highly enough!
