Head Athletic Trainer and Sports Performance Coordinator

With a major in Athletic Training, Michael graduated from Northeastern University in 2002. While there, he completed clinical assignments at Providence College, Johnson & Wales, and St. Marks Prep School.

After graduation, he worked as the assistant Athletic Trainer at Salve Regina University. While there, he worked mainly with Men's and Women's soccer, Men's Ice Hockey, Baseball, and Men's Lacrosse.

Since joining the team at Foundry Sports Medicine, he has been working in our Sports Medicine Clinic and Outreach Program with several Rhode Island high schools. Mike also helps providing athletic training services for the Rhode Island Interscholastic Leagues and has assisted in game and practice coverage for local colleges and club teams such as Brown University, Rhode Island College, Johnson & Wales, and the RI Stingrays.

In addition to being an athletic trainer, Mike is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He has experience working with sports teams and individual clients for sports performance enhancement and general conditioning. Mike is also certified in administaring the Functional Movement Screen and is able to assist each client with corrective exercises to meet their individual goal.
