Director of Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy

Matt joined Foundry Sports Medicine and Fitness in May of 2005 and is the Director of Rehabilitation. His role includes treatment of a full patient caseload, management of the physical therapy department, and coordination of community outreach programs.

Matt gained his B.S. in Clinical Science in 1998 and M.S. in Physical therapy in 1999 both from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. While in college Matt competed in Division III lacrosse. Matt passed his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) exam for board certification in the through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in March of 2007. His areas of clinical interest include post-operative rehabilitation; treatment of sports related injuries, manual therapy, foot and ankle biomechanics, and rehabilitation of the shoulder.

Continuing education coursework that he has taken include A Master Clinician's approach to Shoulder Rehabilitation with George Davies, Current Concepts on Knee Rehabilitation with Kevin Wilk, Introduction to Mulligan Concept of Manual Therapy, Healthsouth Golf Performance, Healthsouth-Sponsored Peripheral Joint Mobilization, Healthsouth Foot and Ankle Update

Matt also works as a clinical instructor for physical therapy graduate students on their clinical affiliations at Foundry. While working for Healthsouth in Orlando, FL he was able to treat both major and minor league baseball players, XFL football players, and professional basketball players. When working in Annapolis, MD, Matthew managed multiple outpatient centers in addition to treating many high school and college athletes.
