A week and a half ago we had our first snowfall of this season.  In some places throughout the state, it was a dusting and in others, it caused some school and work delays.  The Old Farmer’s Almanac  is predicting a dry winter this year:  “Winter will be colder and drier than normal, on average, with below-normal snowfall in New England and above-normal snowfall elsewhere. The coldest periods will be in mid-December, January, and mid-February. The snowiest periods will be in early January and mid- and late February.”
