Lawrence Lee

Hand & Microvascular Surgery

After receiving his BA degree at the University of Rochester, Dr. Lee went on to receive his MA in Physiology and his MD at the State University of New York at Buffalo. While there, Dr. Lee served as a hyperbaric physiology research diver and as a Mission Support diver on the NOAA Project HYDROLAB saturation habitat (National Undersea Laboratory 1, NULS-1) in St. Croix, USVI. After medical school, Dr Lee completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery with further Fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Microsurgery at SUNY/Buffalo. He was Attending Surgeon with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care from 1990-1999, and has served as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Brown University School of Medicine since 2000.

Dr. Lee also has an interest in autism treatment and advocacy having served on the board of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment, and on the Data and Safety Management Board of the National Institute of Mental Health at the NIH. Dr. Lee feels that bringing this broad range of experiences to the practice allows him to better connect with, and therefore, to better care for, his patients.
