Dr. DeLuise is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been practicing at Foundry Orthopedics since 2007. He also recently passed the specialized exam for hand surgery, certifying his abilities to treat all upper extremity problems. This makes him one of only 12 surgeons in the state of Rhode Island with this expertise.
Dr. DeLuise graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and then earned his MD from Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. DeLuise is well-trained in orthopaedic trauma and fracture care, and arthoscopy from his residency at Boston University & Boston Medical Center. He completed an additional year of training focused on the hand and upper extremity at one of the most prestigious hand fellowships in the country - The Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. This also gave Dr. DeLuise the opportunity to care for professional athletes from the Philadelphia 76ers, Eagles and Phillies.
Dr. DeLuise specializes in hand surgery, microvascular surgery, treatment of fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome surgery (CTS), sports medicine, rheumatoid arthritis, Dupuytren's contractures, arthritis of the hand, fingers, wrist, elbow and shoulder; arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and wrist. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS), the Rhode Island Orthopedic Society and the Rhode Island Medical Society (RIMS).
