Michelle received a Bachelor of Science in OT from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT in 2001. She obtained hand therapy certification from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) in November of 2011.
Her clinical interests include custom splint fabrication, manual therapy, and wound care following traumatic and post-operative injuries to the elbow, wrist, and hand.
Michelle has attended many continuing education courses related to upper extremity rehabilitation including custom static and dynamic splint fabrication, kinesiology taping, and manual therapy. She has also served as a clinical coordinator and clinical supervisor for both level I and level II OT and OTA students in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Michelle started her career working in an acute rehabilitation inpatient unit and has been working exclusively in an outpatient hand therapy clinic setting since 2008.
She joined Orthopedics RI Foundry Division in June 2015.
