Dr. Anthony Deluise

Dr. DeLuise is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been practicing at Foundry Orthopedics since 2007.  In 2011, he also passed the specialized exam for hand surgery, certifying his abilities to treat all upper extremity problems.  This makes him one of only several surgeons in the state of Rhode Island with this expertise.

Dr. DeLuise graduated magna cum laude from Boston University and then earned his MD from Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. DeLuise is well-trained in orthopaedic trauma and fracture care, and arthoscopy from his residency at Boston University & Boston Medical Center. He completed an additional year of training focused on the hand and upper extremity at one of the most prestigious hand fellowships in the country - The Philadelphia Hand Center and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. This also gave Dr. DeLuise the opportunity to care for professional athletes from the Philadelphia 76ers, Eagles and Phillies.

Dr. DeLuise specializes in hand surgery, microvascular surgery, treatment of fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome surgery (CTS), sports medicine, rheumatoid arthritis, Dupuytren's contractures, arthritis of the hand, fingers, wrist, elbow and shoulder; arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and wrist. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS), the Rhode Island Orthopedic Society and the Rhode Island Medical Society (RIMS).

Dr. DeLuise always listens to his patients and provides them with the appropriate information so that they can decide together what is the best course of treatment.

Dr. DeLuise won the "Most Entertaining" Mirror Ball Trophy and received some pretty good scores from the judges at the Dancing with the Doctors benefit held in May 2014.   The group of doctors who competed raised a tremendous amount of money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

In July of 2014, Dr. DeLuise was named one of the top 40 Under 40 by the Providence Business News. The men and women of the 2014 class were selected from more than 100 applicants, and was profiled in a special section included with the July 28 issue of PBN.  The 40 Under Forty winners were selected based on career success and community involvement. All are young professionals who have committed to making a difference on a local, national or international scale.

In April of 2015, Dr. DeLuise was named the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man of the Year.  He became the first male to eclipse over $100,000 in fundraising over the annual MWOY competition.  Community service is important to him and this was a great effort by him and his team!

Dr. DeLuise has also competed in several obstacle races.  He enjoys tennis, running and spending time with his family.

Dr. Deluise analyzed my problem without fanfare, and without asking me to come back a second time. Thank you for the excellent service.
